As a photographer who specializes in sunset sessions, I often get asked, “When’s the best time to book family photos?” The short answer: now—especially if you're dreaming of golden summer light, relaxed evenings, and that magical glow only sunset can give.

Why Sunset?

Sunset (also called golden hour) offers the most flattering, soft light of the day. It’s warm, romantic, and makes everyone look their best—no harsh shadows, no squinting, just beautiful natural light that brings out the emotion and connection in your family.

Why Summer?

Longer days, kids out of school, and warm weather mean more flexibility—and more fun. Summer is perfect for beach sessions, open fields, or your favourite family hangout spot. It’s also when schedules fill up quickly, so booking early ensures you get the best date and time for your family.

When to Book

To make the most of your experience, I recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance. This gives us time to plan outfits, choose a perfect location, and make sure you're on my calendar before the prime sunset slots are gone.
